Kerri: We made it through with no problems thanks be to the Lord. Will try to put up a new post soon. We are keeping an eye on IKE and praying. I'll be glad when this hurricane season is over :)
J'laine: Hi Kerri, thanks for stopping in and the kind words about my dogs. See you are in the Gulf Coast-hope you made it through the storm okay. Really like you site-care to ex links? Take care and have a great week.
Lauralee: Love your layout. I'll be visiting here often as I have time between classes and studying.
Ms. Em-gee: Thank you for the message.
dalia: hi! like ur layout! blog hopping
Kerri: I thought of you Pam this morning when our pastor taught Pr 14:25 A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies. Who have you delivered from what? You want to deliver people into the bondage of the RCC. My heart's desire is they find the freedom of trusting in Christ alone!
Kerri: Pam, I know what the RCC teaches is NOT supported by SCRIPTURE. I have never shown hatred to you and you are falsely accusing me to say I have. I suggest instead of getting angry at me for saying the truth you read the two posts here and consider them. The RCC won't teach the truth of what the Bible says about sin and how to deal with it.
Pam: Kerri, your hatred, ignorance, and bull-headedness is astounding. You should know about the church before you try to talk about it. (The Bible, too.) To anyone who wants to know what Catholics REALLY believe, ask a devout Catholic, not an anti-Catholic bigot. My blog link is attached. Ask me what I believe, why, and why I left Protestantism to go Home to Rome.
Kerri: Pam, I have read your new blog. As far as the Word of God - Yes, Jesus is the WORD of God, but the Bible is the written word of God. You can mock if you wish, but you will regret it one day. As far as the other nonsense it is RCC lies and propaganda.
Pam: P.S. You'll have to post on the new blog from now on out b/c I am leaving Bravenet for the more interactive blogs at Google.
Pam: Traditions of man? This coming from someone who's beliefs only date back to the 17th century. History class, honey. Take it. I'll pay for it. The Word of God, Kerri, is CHRIST, not a version of the Bible created in 1611 and "authorized" by a homosexual.
Kerri: Chloe, it is always nice to hear from you.
Kerri: Pam, I suggest you pay more attention to the Word of God than traditions of man. Man did not give us the Bible - God did.
Chloe: Hi, Kerri! Thanks for the comment:) It was wonderful to get to know more about you that way:) God bless you.
Pam: Kerri, I am Catholic, a memeber of the church that gave you that Bible that you wave around so flippantly. Futhermore, YOU could use some time in a history class ... and perhaps one on reputable journalism. Your links, like your preaching, are always in error ... full of lies and falsehoods. I will continue to pray for your misguided soul.
Kerri: Pam, quite honestly you could use some time under good Bible teaching instead of "talks" .
Pam: Kerri, the Steve Ray thing could be interested. I often frequent talks by apologeticists just to hear what they have to say ... at the very least it keeps the old grey matter working. :D
Nikki: Just Stopping By.
Kerri: Pam, thanks for the suggestion. I don't have any fears, just a desire to see people believe God and know they are saved going to Heaven. I will try and get to your and Jeff's comments soon - busy here right now.
Pam : Steve Ray will be speaking in the Gulf Coast area. You should go. He's a convert to Catholicism ... you can take your fears to someone who can answer you in person.
Chloe: Hi, Kerri. Thanks for the nice comment you left at my blog entry about my Mom. God bless...
Joseph - Director: hello, just wanted to pop in and say hi. hope to see you on my blog!
Chloe: Hello, Kerri. It's been a while since I've heard from you. I'm glad you checked me out:) Oh, the trailer for the animated film was in Tagalog language (the national language of the Philippines, my country). That film was done by Filipino animators, a lot of whom work for Disney, etc. Yeah, I'd like to watch that movie when I find time, ha ha. God bless...
nightrider: Heeeelllloooo you, just popin by to say hi!!
nightrider: Hey youJust stopping by to say his

greg : Kerri the million steps are simple. The Trans Canada Trail web page has a virtual map of the trail across Canada and when you sign up you can log your kilometers or steps that you walk each day and the trail is highlighted for the amount you would have covered had you been walking the actual trail. Nice to see how far you have gone. I am a step counter and so far have walked from Victoria past Chilliwack alongthe Virtual trail Greg

Be Thankful

Well it is that time of year again. We made it through Halloween and already the stores have Christmas on the brain

BUT FOLKS.....

Lets not let the opportunity to celebrate a time of THANKFULNESS to the LORD be pushed out of the way. I personally refuse to let Thanksgiving be ignored!

The Bible warns us in 2 Timothy 3:1-5  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. Is that the crowd you want to be named with? I know we are in the last days, but I want my voice to be one that is lifted to the Lord in thanks for all His many blessings. What about you?

I believe if you take time each day and consider you will find that your blessings are abundant! That the Lord has filled your wagon.

I know I find that my blessings are overflowing

If you too are like me with abundant overflowing blessings and if you are truly thankful to the Lord I challenge you to make this month a month of THANKSGIVING.

Saying Thank You to God isn't something that we should only do one day out of the year - it is something we need to do everyday, but what better time to start a Thank You habit?

I am going to keep this post till Thanksgiving and try to come each day and edit the post, adding something else I am thankful for. I challenge you to do the same - if you want you could keep a notebook, or you can come leave a comment adding something new that day you are thankful for. Can you do three a day?You just can't repeat an item.

Are you up to the challenge?

IF so

LETS GIVE THANKS TO GOD

FOR HIS MANY BLESSINGS

Thank you Dear Lord for....

11/6/07 - my salvation first of all, for my family, and for my church.

11/7/07- for the good revival meeting we are having this week, for our pets, and for my hubby's job.

11/9/07 - Tonight was the last night of the revival and I am so thankful that the Lord met with us in the meeting. It was so good to just take time apart and be in HIS presence. I am also very thankful to the Lord for answering prayers and letting lunch today with my pastor, his wife and the evangelist go well and the food turn out good. I am also thankful that now we can rest some.

11/10/07 I am thankful the church bulletin came together well today. I am thankful for answered prayer. I'm thankful for sleep, which is where I am heading.  NIGHT!

11/12/07 I am thankful for a good sister in law that I enjoy visiting with. I am thankful my daughter has a job she enjoys. I'm thankful for good Southern Gospel Music.

11/14/07 I am thankful that our church still has midweek services (it just uplifts and helps through the rest of the week) I am thankful for computer games. I am thankful for modern conveniences.

11/15/07 I am thankful for the colder weather - it makes this time of year feel so right. I am thankful that the Lord opens Scripture and lets us understand and see things in the Word. I am thankful He gives us wisdom and understanding.

11/19/07 I am thankful for computer technology. I am thankful for my 5 senses. I am thankful for God's help when I need it ( which is pretty much in whatever I do Ex: He helps me with my cooking. He helped us when we sang a special at church yesterday.) I am very glad He does help me.

11/21/07 I am thankful that tonight at church we have our "thank You" service. Each member will give a verse on thanks/thanksgiving and share some of what they thank the Lord for. It is always such a blessing! I am thankful for the good rains we have had today. I am also thankful that we have some cooler weather for Thanksgiving - it just makes it feel like a traditional holiday .

11/22/07 Well this will be my last update on this post and I have to say I am very thankful the Lord let us have a very happy Thanksgiving together. The meal turned out very nice. I am also thankful to the Lord for bringing home our cat who had been missing for 4 days. I was afraid she had gone off to die, but she is home and doine quite well!  The Lord is so good to us. I am so thankful for the salvation He has given me and for His great love.

HOPE Y'all had a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Kerri, we should give thanks every day of our lives. The celebration of Thanksgiving in November (and Columbus day in October) is nothing more than a slap in the face to the Native Americans who were tortured, booted off their lands, and even slaughtered by the early settlers.

My paternal grandmother was Cherokee indian and it makes me vomit when people act as if Thanksgiving is this lovey-dovey holiday.

We should be thankful for everything that we have every day of our lives. We shouldn't depend on a National Holiday founded on intolerance and death to remind us to be Thankful. Futhermore, Advent starts on Dec. 2nd, so why shouldn't we begin preparations now? Christmastide is more important than "thanksgiving" anyway...

I'm not surprised at your attitude or that you don't consider giving of thanks important. I suspect it is more that this holiday doesn't have Catholic origins but you have the right to choose what holiday you wish to celebrate. I also have Cherokee Indian in me and am familiar with the Trail of Tears. Through history however there was plenty of wrong on both sides of the coin.
Many Indian tribes did worse to each other without any settlers in the picture. It is just a cop out when you say what you are saying.
The holiday we celebrate today was not founded on mistreatment of anyone, but as an Official day to realize that we as a country and people owe God a debt of gratitude and to render that thanks to God. But to the point - THIS POST is set aside as a post to give THANKS to GOD - if you wish to give Thanks to the Lord for His blessings you may but otherwise choose another post to converse on.

You know we can choose to wake up grumpy and complain about the up coming day or give thanks that the Lord gave us another day to praise, I choose to praise him.

All I have to do is look at my little ones and know that I am truly blessed!
