Kerri: We made it through with no problems thanks be to the Lord. Will try to put up a new post soon. We are keeping an eye on IKE and praying. I'll be glad when this hurricane season is over :)
J'laine: Hi Kerri, thanks for stopping in and the kind words about my dogs. See you are in the Gulf Coast-hope you made it through the storm okay. Really like you site-care to ex links? Take care and have a great week.
Lauralee: Love your layout. I'll be visiting here often as I have time between classes and studying.
Ms. Em-gee: Thank you for the message.
dalia: hi! like ur layout! blog hopping
Kerri: I thought of you Pam this morning when our pastor taught Pr 14:25 A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies. Who have you delivered from what? You want to deliver people into the bondage of the RCC. My heart's desire is they find the freedom of trusting in Christ alone!
Kerri: Pam, I know what the RCC teaches is NOT supported by SCRIPTURE. I have never shown hatred to you and you are falsely accusing me to say I have. I suggest instead of getting angry at me for saying the truth you read the two posts here and consider them. The RCC won't teach the truth of what the Bible says about sin and how to deal with it.
Pam: Kerri, your hatred, ignorance, and bull-headedness is astounding. You should know about the church before you try to talk about it. (The Bible, too.) To anyone who wants to know what Catholics REALLY believe, ask a devout Catholic, not an anti-Catholic bigot. My blog link is attached. Ask me what I believe, why, and why I left Protestantism to go Home to Rome.
Kerri: Pam, I have read your new blog. As far as the Word of God - Yes, Jesus is the WORD of God, but the Bible is the written word of God. You can mock if you wish, but you will regret it one day. As far as the other nonsense it is RCC lies and propaganda.
Pam: P.S. You'll have to post on the new blog from now on out b/c I am leaving Bravenet for the more interactive blogs at Google.
Pam: Traditions of man? This coming from someone who's beliefs only date back to the 17th century. History class, honey. Take it. I'll pay for it. The Word of God, Kerri, is CHRIST, not a version of the Bible created in 1611 and "authorized" by a homosexual.
Kerri: Chloe, it is always nice to hear from you.
Kerri: Pam, I suggest you pay more attention to the Word of God than traditions of man. Man did not give us the Bible - God did.
Chloe: Hi, Kerri! Thanks for the comment:) It was wonderful to get to know more about you that way:) God bless you.
Pam: Kerri, I am Catholic, a memeber of the church that gave you that Bible that you wave around so flippantly. Futhermore, YOU could use some time in a history class ... and perhaps one on reputable journalism. Your links, like your preaching, are always in error ... full of lies and falsehoods. I will continue to pray for your misguided soul.
Kerri: Pam, quite honestly you could use some time under good Bible teaching instead of "talks" .
Pam: Kerri, the Steve Ray thing could be interested. I often frequent talks by apologeticists just to hear what they have to say ... at the very least it keeps the old grey matter working. :D
Nikki: Just Stopping By.
Kerri: Pam, thanks for the suggestion. I don't have any fears, just a desire to see people believe God and know they are saved going to Heaven. I will try and get to your and Jeff's comments soon - busy here right now.
Pam : Steve Ray will be speaking in the Gulf Coast area. You should go. He's a convert to Catholicism ... you can take your fears to someone who can answer you in person.
Chloe: Hi, Kerri. Thanks for the nice comment you left at my blog entry about my Mom. God bless...
Joseph - Director: hello, just wanted to pop in and say hi. hope to see you on my blog!
Chloe: Hello, Kerri. It's been a while since I've heard from you. I'm glad you checked me out:) Oh, the trailer for the animated film was in Tagalog language (the national language of the Philippines, my country). That film was done by Filipino animators, a lot of whom work for Disney, etc. Yeah, I'd like to watch that movie when I find time, ha ha. God bless...
nightrider: Heeeelllloooo you, just popin by to say hi!!

The Trans Canada Trail web page has a virtual map of the trail across Canada and when you sign up you can log your kilometers or steps that you walk each day and the trail is highlighted for the amount you would have covered had you been walking the actual trail. Nice to see how far you have gone. I am a step counter and so far have walked from Victoria past Chilliwack alongthe Virtual trail Greg

Add on info - Campmeeting and RCC info

I hope at least some of my visitors tuned in to campmeeting tonight. Boy was it a good message. I wanted to add another link by which you can listen or watch campmeeting. Tune in the wgcr.net and you can connect at that site also. They also are a good online radio station for anytime of year.

The other added info I wanted to post was something I else I want those who belong to the RCC to consider. Two sites that to me further prove my concern that the RCC is a religion of death, not life. http://www.kuam.com/news/25081.aspx The first site talks about how the belief in ghosts and Catholicism can exist together. That also goes along with what a missionary told me last weekend. We had our missionaries from Brazil visiting the church and I was talking to the wife and she was talking about how much spiritualism (communication with the dead) there is in Brazil and how it co-existed in the RCC people so easily. I couldn't help but think of the verse, Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?  Unfortunately RCC walks together in many places with false religion - Spiritualism in Mexico, Brazil and other C. & S. American countries. It co-exists quite well with voodoo in Haiti and other such places.  In light of the verse  - consider.

If there is still any doubt that the focus of the RCC is death, consider the relics (a relic -An object of religious veneration, especially a piece of the body or a personal item of a saint.)  -  Relics are venerated in the Oriental Orthodox, Eastern Orthodox, Roman Catholic and some Anglican Churches. Reliquaries provide a means of protecting and displaying relics, which many believe are endowed by God with the grace of miraculous powers.  If you doubt that still goes on read this article http://www.religionnewsblog.com/21264/faithful-gather-as-remains-of-stigmata-saint-go-on-display . Once again when you consider that Buddhism, Hinduism, shamanism, and many other religions place importance on relics you can see the RCC once again aligned with the false religions.

The Bible never, I repeat NEVER teaches such nonsense as relics and scapulars, but that does not deter the RCC. The Bible also tells us we are not to try to communicate with the dead. It is sin. We are to pray to God the Father through the Lord Jesus Christ alone, otherwise we aren't going to get heard. It is sad that so many are so deceived. The Bible tells us, Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. My hope and prayer for those entangled in the web of Roman is that they will see the truth and let the Lord Jesus Christ make them free.

Good gracious, Kerri. Again with your anger towards Catholicism - a faith about which you know absolutely nothing. You take bits and pieces of rubbish, the word of anti-Catholics, and a touch of your own personal interpretation and pass it off as Gospel.

I know agree with Sam -- you have a deep-seated hatred for Catholicism (not 'the RCC' as you call it) for some reason ... did a nun smack your wittle hand too hard when you were a kid?

One final thing before I go back to doing something productive -- has it never bothered anyone that "missionaries" spend time, money, and resources going to Catholic countries instead of to areas that have never heard about the Word of God (which is Christ, not the Bible!) ... amazing. Simply amazing.

I couldn't access the link about Catholics and belief in ghosts, but I don't think the Church teaches anything authoritatively on the subject. However, do remember that Saul had an encounter with Samuel after he had died (1 Samuel 28). There is also no reason to doubt that evil spirits can make themselves present in the form of "ghosts" for Satan's purposes.

As for relics, there is evidence in the Bible of both what the Church calls "1st class" and "2nd class" relics. The very bones of Elisha (1st class) raised a dead man to life again (2 Kings 13:20-21). A woman and many others were healed by touching the tassel of Jesus's garment (Matthew 14:35-36, Luke 8:43-44; 2nd class), and handkerchiefs of Paul (2nd class) were used by God to heal people (Acts 19:11-12).

Now, the Church doesn't believe that the bones of saints or their clothing is magical or endowed with special power in and of themselves. Rather, as Acts 19:11 puts it, God chooses to perform miracles by them.

We also honor the saints when we keep their relics. The origin of having a relic of a saint in each church (ideally under the stone top of the altar) was because in the early days of the Church during the persecution of Christians, the faithful would gather underground in the Catacombs and they would actually offer their worship to God using a stone tomb of a martyr as their altar.

Finally, another historical matter, the veneration of the remains of saints began VERY early in the Church, as there is evidence in a letter to the church at Smyrna (from AD 156) that after a man named Polycarp was martyred, "We took up the bones, which are more valuable than precious stones and finer than refined gold, and laid them in a suitable place, where the Lord will permit us to gather ourselves together as we are able, in gladness and joy, and celebrate the birthday of his martyrdom."

I hope this clears up any misunderstandings on these topics. The Catholic Church preaches the Gospel of life (es

Pam, much of the info I take is from the news or from RCC sources. What I say is not with hatred but with concern for the souls being deceived by the twisted lies of false religion.

As far as missionaries, I find that there is quite a open field of those who have never truly heard of the saving power of Jesus Christ in your "Catholic" countries. What a wonderful field for those the Lord calls to take forth the truth of Jesus Christ - that they can be saved not by being in slavery to a church and its works but by the finished work of JESUS CHRIST! I hope for you is that you come to fully understand that message yourself before it is too late.

Thank you for letting me know the link wasn't right - it has been corrected.

As far as miracles through relics. NONSENSE! Signs were sent to the Jews. The Jews have always looked for signs. Signs are NOT for the true church of God. The true church of God is made up of all born again believers washed in the blood of Jesus. We have the complete revelation of the Bible - the written word of God, we are not look for signs, but to go by faith!

NOTE TO PAM- yes Jesus is the WORD of GOD, He emobdies everything the Lord has given us in HIS written word. He is what the written Word of God is all about! Make no mistake the KJV Bible is the very word of God and one day you will know that!

Can you back that claim up, that the Church never receives signs? Does this mean there are no more miracles... or only miracles that don't happen through a "relic"?

I don't see any Scriptural support that all signs cease for Christians.

Signs were to the Jews and the early church (although the earliest church was comprised mainly of saved Jews until the gospel was brought to the gentiles)anyway signs were to them before the completion of the Bible - after wards we are to go by faith.1Co 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
Does that mean we do not see miracles today? No. People are born again and saved everyday - that is miracle. God does heal - not through "faith healers like Benny Hinn or "relics" but He does heal. So we do see miracles, but they are not for signs to the church.Ro 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
