Rants

This post is sort of a hodge-podge of things I have read about in the news or advertisements lately. If you don't think we are in the last days - open your eyes!

Rant # 1 The other day, I was reading something and I saw an advertisement, I just glanced as I turned the page, then did a double take, turned back the page and really looked at it. I couldn't believe it and so I looked up the website to see if it was for real and it was. Somebody has written a book for kids that is called "Heck, Where the Bad Kids Go" If you doubt me check out the Web site by clicking on the title of the book.  I have not read the book, and won't, but I did browse the web site pretty good.  It reduces Hell to something like eternal detention for kids with a lot of gross stuff, teaching an eventual change possible.  Hell is NOT  a joke and those who end up there are there forever.

I think it is outrageous. But I also think a book that concentrates on dead teens and tweens is not good for young people who are already growing up in a society satuated in death. Kids play video games with violence and death, they listen to music about violence and death, they are taught in schools there isn't much hope for the future and they are just the lucky ones who happened to evolve into this fine specimen that can't control their feelings and urges enough to refrain from having any kind and all kinds of sex whenever and where ever they wish and IF they happen to make a baby during it - oh well, just abort it, it isn't life anyway.

And we wonder why we have the school shootings we have? the rise in violence involving young people? the bullying?

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Rant #2 If the amount of child abuse and the amount of promiscuity among young people (all ages in fact) isn't bad enough we have some one who made a movie called Hounddog which protrays the rape of a 9 year old girl. That is just one part of the movie. Writer and director Deborah Kampmeier said of Fanning's character (this a 12 year old playing a 9 year old), "She is simply and innocently experiencing and relishing the aliveness of her being, the life force pulsing through her body, celebrating the power and creative force of her sexuality that is her birthright."   .PEOPLE, 9 & 12 year olds  are not old enough to "celebrate their sexuality" GET REAL! ( Read the news article on it yourself - Hounddog) If I lived in N.C. I would be furious with my state - they have given $400,000 in tax credits to make the movie in their state.  Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them
.

Rant # 3 It is no wonder the world is coming to where it is, when very few churches are standing for the truth any more. I read a news article where the Church of England offers an apology to Darwin. First I don't put much stock in the Church of England - it came from the Roman Catholic church, but didn't change much. I think, however, it is a shame for any organization that claims to be a church representing God, to accept as allowable, teaching that is in direct opposition to the Word of God. (see Article) It isn't the first church to do so though. There are many who claim to be Christians today and accept teaching that the Bible does not teach.  Many churches do not take a stand any longer on creation and are willing to compromise and accept at least a form of evolution.

The Bible still says "In the beginning God created" and so He did!

Other churches are busy trying to justify homosexuality and accepting it in the church. You can't do it and believe the Bible. The Bible is very clear it is an abomination. One of the more recent ones to come out is Ray Boltz, who claims he is going to live as God created him. God did not create anyone homosexual! Each and everyone of us are born with a sin nature and that sin nature is what is responsible for homosexuality, drunkeness, fornication etc.  Churches need to be standing for and preaching the truth of God's Word. Tell people the truth about sin and that there is deliverence from sin in Jesus Christ! The said in Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! It sure sounds like the day we live in.

Know this, if you are reading this and you want to be delivered from sin, you want to know you have eternal life and will live forever with God,.................You can - through the Lord Jesus Christ! He is our HOPE, our Deliverer, our Salvation! Trust Him today.

That book is disgusting and I am apalled of the flippancy and disregard of the truth of hell. It is not a joke.

Rant 2: Kerri liberals are desperate to take the one last thing that God has given us and that is the innocence and purity of our children. Horrid.

As for those rogue churches, they will have to answer to God for their arrogance and twisting the bible. KJV is very clear about changing anything at the end of Revelation.

Kerri, I was with you until you threw in another ignorant jibe about the Catholic Church. Kerri, the Baptist faith is a Protestant faith. Sorry, that is FACT. Are you capable of writing a post that doesn't contain a jab at a religion about which you know very, very little. If any of your readers want to know that truth about the Catholic Church, I say this: "You would be better off to ask me, not Kerri. I was born and raised Baptist and followed Christ across the Tiber. Want to know why or what I believe? Ask me, not an anti-Catholic!"

And, Leticia, the King James Version of the Bible didn't come along until 1611. The New King James Bible, which is probably the one you use, came much, much later. And, when compared to text from which the KJV came, IT was changed and altered. (Some good info at http://www.geocities.com/athens/olympus/5257/kjverror.htm)

Leticia, thanks for the comments. I saw where you tried several times. I have this blog set as the other one because of spam each comment much be approved. You know how that goes.

Pam, I had to go back and look to see where I referred to the RCC. I would hardly say that was a jab at Catholicism. As far as if someone wants to know about the Roman Catholic church, I would say ask who you wish, but do it with the Bible in your hands, the KJV, and you will find that the answers given by Roman Catholics will not agree to the Word of God without a lot of twisting.

Leticia can answer for herself, but I'm pretty sure she reads the KJV not NKJV. and you are right by the way the NKJV is not the same as the KJV, go to the Bible blog and click on homepage in the menu and you will find a link to the NKJV vs KJV and see some of the differences.
